Corrections policy

If we get something wrong
Calculators involve real math and guides make factual claims about financing, tax concepts, and market terminology. When an error is reported and verified, we correct it and note the change rather than quietly editing the page.
How to report an error
Use the contact page and select "Report an error / correction," or email hello@realestatecashguru.com. Include the page URL and, if it's a calculator issue, the exact inputs you used — that makes it much faster to reproduce and fix.
What counts as a correction
- Calculation errors — a formula or benchmark that produces an incorrect result. These are fixed immediately once verified.
- Factual errors — an incorrect claim about how a loan type, tax concept, or market term works. Fixed and noted with an updated date.
- Outdated figures — a benchmark or rate that was accurate when published but has since changed. Refreshed on our normal review cycle, or sooner if flagged.
- Clarity issues — not factually wrong, but confusing or ambiguous. Improved without a formal correction note.
How corrections are shown
A material correction updates the article's "updated" date, visible in the byline at the top of the page. We don't maintain a separate public changelog for minor wording fixes, but any change that affects a conclusion or a number is treated as material.
